Jamal Murray scored 28 points, Nikola Jokic had 26 points and 14 rebounds and hit all of his free throws as the Nuggets thrashed the Warriors on Christmas day.
Chris Paul and Brandin Podziemski scored 13 apiece for Golden State. The Warriors had their five-game winning streak snapped.
The Nuggets led by as many as 10 in the first quarter but Golden State rallied in a back-and-forth second.
The Warriors went ahead in a 15-3 run but Murray had seven points in a 9-2 run by Denver.
Curry didn’t score until he made a free throw with 5:46 left in the second quarter and finished with four points in the half.
“I have no problem with the officials themselves,” Kerr said after the game.
“I have a problem with the way we are legislating defense out of the game. That’s what we’re doing. The way we’re teaching officials, we’re just enabling to players to (fool) their way to the foul line. If I was a fan, I wouldn’t have wanted to watch the second half of that game. It was disgusting.
“It was just baiting refs into calls. But the refs have to make those calls because that’s how they’re taught.”
