Tommy Robinson Faces Charges Following Participation In Antisemitism March In London

Tommy Robinson is facing charges for his presence at a rally against antisemitism in central London. Despite organizers urging him not to attend, the English Defence League founder was arrested by the police.

The Sunday march, estimated to have had around 100,000 participants, marked the first of its kind since the Israel-Gaza war commenced.

Robinson’s arrest is based on charges of failing to comply with an order that excluded him from the march area, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The 40-year-old, also known as Stephen Yaxley Lennon, has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 22. His arrest occurred near the Royal Courts of Justice in London, the starting point of the demonstration, following the organizers’ statement that he was not welcome at the event.
