Jude Bellingham Breaks Christiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid Record Against Cadiz

English midfielder Jude Bellingham has surpasses a long-standing Christiano Ronaldo’s record at Real Madrid after scoring a goal for Real Madrid against Cadiz.

Bellingham scored a goal with 16 minutes remaining as Real Madrid resumed their league campaign with a victory against Cadiz following the international break. His goal against Cadiz saw him become the only player in Real Madrid’s history to score more than 13 goals in their first 15 games. Bellingham has 11 goals in 12 La Liga games and three in the Champions League since joining from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

Ronaldo also broke records at Real Madrid after his £80m move from Manchester United back in 2009 with 13 goals in his first 15 appearances in all competitions.

After reaching the 14-goal mark in just 15 games, the 2023/24 campaign is now the joint most prolific scoring season of Bellingham’s club career. He scored 14 goals in 42 matches for Dortmund last season. His goal against Girona in September saw him equal Ronaldo’s record netting six strikes in seven La Liga outings in the 2009/10 season.

Sunday’s win over Cadiz saw Madrid climb to first place in La Liga, four points above title rivals Atletico and Barcelona.
