Jenna Ortega Leaves Scream 7 Due To Wednesday Season 2 Shoot

Actress Jenna Ortega has dropped out of “Scream 7” due to a shooting schedule clash with Tim Burton’s hit series “Wednesday”.

Her co-star in ‘Scream’ Melissa Barrera was recently fired from the horror movie due to Barrera’s social media posts about Israel and Palestine.

But Ortega did not quit because of Barrera. Production dates for “Wednesday” Season 2 have yet to be confirmed since the SAG-AFTRA strike. Ortega also needs to finish filming Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice 2” for a few more days.

Barrera was fired from “Scream 7” on Tuesday after she kept making posts supporting Palestine in the ongoing war.

‘Scream’ producer Spyglass Media Group made a statement about the incident.

“Spyglass’ stance is unequivocally clear: We have zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion, or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech.”

The 2022 revival of “Scream” brought back original stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette and introduced newcomers Mason Gooding Jr. and Jasmine Savoy Brown.

The 2022 scream ended on a positive note, as Barrera and Ortega caught the Ghostface killer and mended their relationship.
