Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard Miss Milwaukee Bucks Practice After Blowout Defeat To Toronto Raptors

The Milwaukee Bucks are still in shock mode following their crushing defeat at the hands of the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. But before they play the New York Knicks at the Fiserv Forum on Friday, they have no choice but to return to the grind.

But it’s important to remember that Milwaukee was practicing without its two most important players just a day after suffering their second crushing defeat of the year.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard were not present during practice, according to Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin on Thursday (h/t beat reporter Eric Nehm of The Athletic).

Despite reports that Giannis was given the day off to rest, the good news is that he is still anticipated to play against the Knicks on Friday.

Lillard, however, was exempt from practice due to a personal conflict. But he should be able to play in New York as well.

Griffin added that all other players, including Khris Middleton, who is still anticipated to play a limited number of minutes, at least for Friday’s game, took part in practice. MarJon Beauchamp participated in practice as well. He was absent from Milwaukee’s victory over the Miami Heat due to illness, but he managed to play 16 minutes against the Raptors.

When the Bucks host the Knicks at the Fiserv Forum on Friday night, they’ll be playing with all guns blazing. After losing badly to the Raptors on Wednesday, Milwaukee is in desperate need of a victory, and their return to full health is a positive first step.
