Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson Stuns By Returning To Villarreal Dressing Room Within 24 Hours After A Disappointing Performance In The Blues’ 4-1 Loss To Newcastle

Less than 24 hours after Chelsea’s 4-1 defeat at Newcastle, striker Nicolas Jackson surprisingly returned to Villarreal’s dressing room.

Jackson, along with several Chelsea players, underperformed in their heavy defeat at St James’ Park on Saturday, dropping the west London team to 10th place in the Premier League table. However, the 22-year-old swiftly moved on from the result, being seen at El Madrigal the next day for his former club Villarreal’s La Liga clash with Osasuna.

The Yellow Submarine secured a 3-1 victory in front of a lively home crowd, with Jose Luis Morales scoring all three goals, and Jackson was present to congratulate the hat-trick hero after the game.

In July, Jackson completed a £30 million ($38m) transfer to Chelsea from Villarreal, concluding his two-season tenure at El Madrigal. Despite scoring 13 goals in 47 games for the Spanish club, the Senegal international faced challenges with consistency in his initial months at Stamford Bridge.

Although Jackson has already netted seven goals for the Blues this season, three of them were in a lively derby match against Tottenham, drawing criticism for his unpredictable finishing.

Whether Jackson obtained permission from Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino to return to Villarreal is uncertain. Pochettino did not hold back in evaluating his team’s disappointing performance at Newcastle.

Jackson is expected to be in the mix for a spot in the Argentine’s starting XI as the Blues kick off their December schedule with a home match against Brighton.
