Bonehead Teases He’ll Join Liam Gallagher At TRNSMT Festival 2024

Bonehead might accompany Liam Gallagher on his TRNSMT date.

The former frontman of Oasis was confirmed as one of the main attractions at the Scottish festival the following year. On Friday, July 12, 2024, he will play a bill-topping set.

The guitarist, whose real name is Paul Arthurs, hinted that he would be accompanying Liam on the enormous date by posting a picture of Liam’s TRNSMT poster on Twitter.

The news would make sense given that Bonehead frequently performs Oasis songs with Liam on his major performances and that the rock star has previously disclosed that he will be celebrating 30 years of the release of the first Oasis album by playing a setlist that includes solo songs and hits from the band’s debut album.

Speaking about his forthcoming stint at the festival, where Gerry Cinnamon and Calvin Harris are also set to headline, Liam said: “Can’t wait to return to Glasgow Green next Summer to headline TRNSMT. I’ll be playing songs from Definitely Maybe as well as some solo stuff. See you there.”

In any case, Bonehead will undoubtedly be anticipating Liam Gallagher’s Definitely Maybe tour dates in 2019 because he was forced to miss his friend’s pair of incredible 2022 Knebworth performances in order to receive treatment for tonsil cancer.

When asked how he’s feeling on our special Bonehead’s Bank Holiday program, Radio X’s Toby Tarrant asked Champagne Supernova rocker Bonehead in September of last year, and he replied, “Yeah I got the all clear, I finished treatment.”

“I was diagnosed last year sort of March with tonsil cancer, so it was tough, a tough year to say the least, but finished treatment on June 24th, three months after that I got the all-clear.

“I’m under the care of the Christie Hospital, which is the cancer hospital up in Manchester. For the next five years I’m under their care, which is the best care.”

The original member of the Britpop group has since returned to the stage with Liam Gallagher, making his UK debut on August 9, 2023, at the Knebworth 22 album launch event at London’s KOKO.
