Bobby Brazier Allocates Strictly Performance In Honor Of Jade Goody

Bobby Brazier dedicated his most recent Strictly Come Dancing performance to his late mother, Jade Goody.

The 20-year-old EastEnders actor, alongside professional dancer Dianne Buswell, presented a couple’s choice dance to Maxwell’s “This Woman’s Work” on the show.

Jade Goody, who battled cervical cancer, passed away in 2009 at the age of 27.

In a video clip before he performed, Brazier said: “It changed my life completely, I’d love to spend a day with her just to see where I get my smile from.”

Bobby Brazier, also the son of TV presenter Jeff Brazier, opened up about the family’s grief.

Jeff said “loss makes you grow closer” before adding: “I’m the lucky one, I’m the one who gets to bring the boys up, I’m the one who gets to watch them on Strictly, it brings to my joy to my life.”

During the performance, Brazier appeared visibly moved as his family, including Jeff, watched from the audience.

Judges Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse offered standing ovations, with Ballas describing the dance as having “the most beautiful true movements through the body as you danced it through your heart.”

Mabuse said: “(The) steps and the dancing and technical aspects are important, but with such a beautiful dance, I think this is a dance that transcends that.

“This carries the message and the message that you both put on the floor was absolutely beautiful.

“I think you captured the song amazingly

After the dance, while awaiting his score, Brazier expressed feeling “blessed” and emphasized that the dance was an experience he would cherish forever.

Meanwhile, former Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola earned the highest score of the night from the judges, receiving 37 points.

Mabuse emphasized the theme of intimacy and praised the genuine narrative in their outstanding Argentine Tango to Destiny’s Child’s “Bills, Bills, Bills.”

Ballas commended Annabel Croft, noting that she showcased some of the finest footwork in a paso doble. Adorned in coordinated black and yellow Latin-inspired attire, Croft, alongside professional Johannes Radebe, delivered a performance to “Espana Cani,” earning a total of 36 points for the routine.

Nigel Harman, despite initial concerns about performing a rumba, received positive feedback from the judges for his routine set to Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.” Anton Du Beke described the performance as “super duper” and praised Harman for actively engaging in the dance alongside Katya Jones instead of merely being a passive partner.

Casualty star and former EastEnders actor Harman, paired with Jones, garnered a total of 33 points from the judges.

Layton Williams, a Bad Education actor and West End star, and Nikita Williams faced criticism for their American smooth routine to Bjork’s “It’s Oh So Quiet,” receiving a total of 34 points. Ballas described the performance as “gestural and fun” but remarked that it lacked the required smoothness, leading to boos from the live audience.

TV presenter Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu delivered a cha cha performance to Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” and received 31 points from the judges.
