Baltimore Prevails Over Los Angeles Chargers 20-10 With Two Touchdowns from Ravens’ WR Zay Flowers

Quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are set to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football as they embark on a West Coast journey. Baltimore currently claims the AFC’s No. 1 seed entering Week 12, courtesy of Kansas City’s Monday Night Football loss to the Eagles in Week 11.

Heading into a challenging stretch against the Chargers, Rams, Jags, 49ers, and Dolphins, followed by a season-ending clash with the Steelers on Jan. 7, the Ravens aspire to keep Jackson healthy for the playoffs—an endeavor that eluded them in the past two years.

This period has historically been injury-prone for Jackson. Last year, he suffered a knee injury in Week 12 against the Broncos, and in the preceding year, he faced an injury setback in Week 13 against Cleveland. Jackson’s primary goal this season is to avoid hits.

“I’ll say I don’t slide, but I get down. I get under hits; I’ll say that but that’s it I guess,” he said. “That’s all I know – don’t get hit.”

As of Week 12, Jackson ranks No. 5 in the NFL in completion percentage at 69.5% and No. 6 in passer rating with 100.1. The combination of Jackson and running back Gus Edwards propels the Ravens to possess the league’s top rushing attack, averaging 155.1 yards per game, with Edwards contributing 10 rushing touchdowns—second among AFC backs.

“It’s good. It’s where you want to be at this point, but it doesn’t mean anything until after the last game in terms of playoff seeding,” coach John Harbaugh said. “We control a certain amount of our destiny. I don’t know what the tiebreakers would say, but to some degree, we do. We just have to keep winning.”

Following Sunday’s game, the Ravens will enjoy a bye week before a Dec. 10 matchup with the Rams at M&T Bank Stadium, ensuring ample rest for the team in preparation for the crucial stretch run.
