Alejandro Garnacho Shines As Manchester United Thumps Everton

Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho executed a beautiful overhead kick in the third minute to send the visitors on their way to a 3-0 victory at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Everton needed a win after they were docked 10 points and are sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table.

The 19-year-old Argentine jumped acrobatically to meet Diogo Dalot’s cross, firing the ball into the opposite corner past Jordan Pickford before celebrating with a Cristiano Ronaldo-style pirouette.

Although the home team had more ball possession, they could not convert any goal and they had their fans leaving the stadium before the match ended.

Marcus Rashford doubled United’s lead with a penalty in the 56th, awarded after VAR ruled Anthony Martial was fouled by Ashley Young. Captain Bruno Fernandes decided that Rashford would play the penalty since he had scored only once this season.

Anthony Martial who has been plagued with a lack of playing time got a third of the game in the 75th minute when he ran onto Fernandes’s pass and dinked it over Pickford for an easy goal.

Erik Ten Hag’s are sixth in the standings on 24 points after 13 games, while Everton, who were 14th before their points deduction for breaches of the league’s financial rules, are second-bottom on four points.
