Simone Biles added to her incredible medal haul a day after becoming the most decorated gymnast in history by collecting a silver in the vault at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships on Saturday.

The 26-year-old made a mistake that gave her rivals hope as she attempted to land her first vault, the named Biles II (also known as the Yurchenko double pike), for a score of 14.433.

For her second vault, which she had to perform right away after losing her composure, Biles scored an outstanding 14.666 for an overall average of 14.549.

The American’s performance kept her in the lead until Rebeca Andrade, the final of the nine gymnasts to compete, took the stage.

Brazil’s Andrade won the competition with a total score of 14.750, which was 0.201 points higher than Biles’. She celebrated by dancing on the floor while holding the flag of her home nation.

Yeo Seo-jeong of South Korea won bronze.

Later in the day, Biles placed fifth on the uneven bars, which has historically been her least successful equipment.

In an event won by China’s Qiu Qiyuan with a score of 15.100, Biles earned a score of 14.200. Shilese Jones of the USA won bronze, while Kaylia Nemour of Algeria won silver.
