NBA Legend Charles Barkley Issues Apology To Nikola Jokic

Charles Barkley is one individual who is well aware of the fact that the Denver Nuggets do not receive nearly the recognition they merit.

A poster for opening night featuring LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and Jayson Tatum was posted by the NBA on TNT. The sole issue? The Denver Nuggets play on opening night, but Jayson Tatum doesn’t even. Despite being the current NBA Champions, having won the NBA Finals MVP award twice, and having an NBA MVP, none of the Denver Nuggets were shown on the image.

Charles Barkley apologized rather soon after learning of that.

“You sent me that graphic and I showed it to Ernie [Johnson] and we just want to apologize to the Nuggets, Joker and the city of Denver,” Barkley said. “That’s completely stupid not having Joker on that graphic. I mean, we’re here all day!”

It is not Charles Barkley’s fault that the Nuggets are featured in that image. Since the previous season, Barkley has, if anything, been one of the Nuggets’ biggest supporters. He called them the best NBA team the entire season and was the only pundit to think they would be the first seed. Charles Barkley is one person who has truly been treating the Denver Nuggets with the deference they deserve.

The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers will play tonight at 4:30 p.m. PST on opening night.
