The long-running sketch show “Saturday Night Live” announced on Tuesday that comedian Nate Bargatze will make his hosting debut on October 28. The musical guest for this episode is none other than The Foo Fighters.

On Tuesday, Bargatze posted on Instagram, calling it “a dream come true.”

Bargatze is well-known for his humorous family films. Several Netflix stand-up specials have included him, such as “The Tennessee Kid” in 2019 and “Greatest Average American” in 2021, the latter of which led to a Grammy nomination for him.

In January, Prime Video started to stream his most recent special, “Hello, World.” He is also presently touring with his stand-up comedy show, “The Be Funny.” Additionally, Bargatze is the host of the weekly humor podcast “Nateland.”

The Foo Fighters’ visit to 30 Rock is their sixth appearance as the musical guest on “SNL.” They went on tour after releasing their new album, “But Here We Are,” in June.

2020 marked their most recent “SNL” appearance.

While the group was on tour last year, longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins passed away in Columbia. He was fifty.

In May, Josh Freese became a member of Foo Fighters.

Pete Davidson, a comedian and former cast member of “SNL,” hosted the first episode back following a lengthy hiatus caused by the writers’ strike last week. He addressed the Middle East crisis in a moving speech that kicked off the performance.
