
After a four-game goal drought, Mbappe has once again proven that he is irreplaceable for PSG, rendering a great performance against AC Milan.
PSG lacked prowess in their last Champions League outing against Newcastle where they were thrashed 4-1.
But then, they came back to show AC Milan who the bosses were as they dismantled them and kept a clean sheet.
Their young French stars Mbappe, Ousmane Dembélé, Randal Kolo Muani, and especially Warren Zaire-Emery were all involved in the good outing.
Mbappe was on fire for PSG all through the first half that Milan had to prepare a substitution immediately after the break.
PSG came into this match with three points from their first two matches and AC Milan with two goalless draws.
Mbappe delivered the first shot on target as he fired straight at Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan after 21 minutes.
In the 32nd minute, he finished a play from Zaire-Emery in his third attempt on goal, giving PSG the lead before the break.
PSG had Dembele’s goal disallowed after the break for a foul from Manuel Ugarte on Milan midfielder Yunus Musah in the build-up.
In the 53rd minute, Kolo Muani doubled the lead after Dembele got a ball from a corner kick and sent it into the box for Muani to tap in.
In the 89th minute, Kang-In Lee got the third for PSG.
PSG would return to San Siro for the second leg against Milan in a fortnight.
