Falcons DL Grady Jarrett Sacks Commanders Quartetback Sam Howell

The Atlanta Falcons will try to change a lack of sacks they have had this year in Week 6 against the Washington Commanders.

Defensive lineman Grady Jarrett took down Commanders quarterback Sam Howell in the opening frame of the game on Sunday. The Washington offensive was slowed by Jarrett’s sack, and the squad ultimately decided to settle for a field goal.

Watch the video below as it was posted to Twitter by Atlanta.

The contest on Sunday is full of interest as two unknown teams square off against up-and-coming passers. The Washington (…checks notes) Commanders and the Atlanta Falcons both need victories. The Falcons have the advantage of playing at home and are coming off their best performance of the year.

To Atlanta’s advantage as well? Injury issues won’t affect Sunday’s game.

There are actually only two significant players for the Falcons. The once-promising third-year fifth-round prospect Ta’Quon Graham is a healthy scratch for the second straight week. For a brief moment, Graham appeared to be a cornerstone supporting the construction of the tackle position opposite Grady Jarrett.

Since then, he has faced with essentially every issue imaginable, including an injury, inefficiency, significant penalties, and a change in offensive strategy where he doesn’t appear to fit.

Speaking of guys who aren’t getting enough playing time, Clark Phillips is once again out due to injury. He appears to be receiving a rookie season with a red shirt.
