Cristiano Ronaldo Scores 2 To Put Portugal In Euro 2024

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice to help Portugal secure qualifying to the upcoming European Championship with three games remaining as the hosts defeated Slovakia in Group J in Porto.

Ronaldo scored on a penalty after Goncalo Ramos had given the game’s first goal, but David Hancko drew one back in the 69th minute.

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo soon extended his team’s lead to two goals with his 125th international goal.

Slovakia got a late second through Stanislav Lobotka, but Portugal managed to hold on.

The hosts join France, Belgium, and Germany in clinching their place at Euro 2024 with their seven victories in Group J qualifying.

Two points ahead of third-placed Luxembourg, whom Slovakia will play on Monday, Slovakia is still in second place in Group J.
