In a rare picture shoot, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky unveiled the newest member of their family. Photographer Miles Diggs posted a picture of the couple with their firstborn RZA and infant Riot Rose on Instagram.
Robyn, Rihanna’s true name, earlier this year, made her second pregnancy public during her Super Bowl performance. In May 2022, she and the rapper A$AP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, had their first son.
The couple has shared only a small number of photos of their children online, keeping many aspects of their family life private. These are the first pictures of Riot Rose that Diggs has made available to the public on Instagram and Shutterstock. Rihanna, 35, commented on the Instagram image as “The Mayers Boyz.”
According to Entertainment Tonight, the celebrity parents may have been teasing their upcoming baby name during the Met Gala in May. Rocky wore a red kilt similar to the one he wore in the “RIOT” music video, and Rihanna wore a white Valentino gown with roses.
A source revealed to Entertainment Tonight that pictures would be released in advance and gave the origin of the middle name Rose. “Not everyone knows this, but Rocky loves flowers — he loves having fresh flowers in the house, he loves decorating with flowers, and he even had real flowers in his grill once,” the insider claimed, noting that roses are also Rihanna’s favorite flower.
In May, Rocky, 34, shared a photo of Rihanna and RZA on Instagram. WISHING MY FIRST BORN A HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY. “RZA,” he penned.
The parents and RZA featured on the cover of British Vogue in February, and Rihanna posted pictures from that photo shoot to her Instagram account.
