Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty has been sentenced to 120 days of house arrest in Los Angeles, after threatening Cardi B’s husband Offset.
According to court documents that were filed in the Central District of California on Wednesday and obtained by legal journalist Meghann Cuniff, “Mr. Petty was recorded on video making threatening remarks toward a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.”
According to the court notes, in July 2022, Petty was put on probation for three years, and according to previous docs, it was because he “knowingly failed to register as a sex offender.”
In a screenshot, Offset seemingly asked one of Kenneth’s friends where he was located and slammed him for speaking about female business.
Petty did not take it lightly, releasing a video on social media, where Petty is standing outside with his friends who ask, “Offset, where you at?” as others tell him to “drop” his location. One friend said they planned to stay there until Offset arrived. Petty is also seen appearing to taunt Offset.
One of Petty’s friends says, “They wanted to come at me at the VMAS,” in a second clip, adding that Offset sent him a DM.
Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have had this rivalry since 2017. The two were in the same room again at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 12, where Cardi performed and Nicki hosted.
