Jude Bellingham Late Goal Seals Real Madrid Win Against Getafe

Jude Bellingham extended his scoring streak to a Spanish league-leading five goals in four games since joining his new club on Saturday by netting in stoppage time to seal Real Madrid‘s 2-1 victory over Getafe.

The 20-year-old England midfielder, who cost $142 million to transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid, is off to a fantastic start. More than any of his teammates, his goals have helped Madrid win four games in a row. In 31 Bundesliga games last year, he scored eight goals.

“We are not surprised by the talent of (Bellingham), but I am surprised that he is scoring so many goals,” Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said. “Everyone is surprised, even him.”

Borja Mayoral, a former junior player for Real Madrid, scored the first goal for Getafe in the 11th minute.

Joselu Mato, a striker for New Madrid, tied the score in the 47th. Getafe defended well until Bellingham capitalized on a poor save by goalkeeper David Soria to score the game-winning goal.
