Defensive end Chandler Jones of the Las Vegas Raiders, who is in the second year of a three-year, $51 million free agent deal he signed with the team last year, is reportedly dissatisfied with the organization.

Jones vented his frustrations on social media on Tuesday morning, among other things, about being denied access to the team’s gym over the weekend.

These posts were very different from what Jones had said on X, then known as Twitter, the day before when he expressed his excitement about playing this year. I’m having a terrific practice.”

Jones’ agent, Ethan Lock, did not respond to a request for comment from the Raiders, and the team has not yet provided one.

Prior to his late-season surge that included three sacks against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13 and another one against the Los Angeles Rams the following week, Jones, 33, had a sluggish start to the season. The Raiders won 30-24 the next week thanks to his incredible 48-yard fumble return against the Patriots with seconds remaining.

His season was cut short by an elbow injury sustained on Christmas Eve against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Raiders selected edge rusher Tyree Wilson with the No. 7 overall pick in April, ostensibly to develop behind Jones. When Wilson, who had previously had a right foot ailment of his own, was taken off the non-football injury list on August 16, he made his preseason debut against the Dallas Cowboys on August 26.
