iOS 17 will be made publicly available for download, bringing new capabilities to iPhone users like Live Voicemail, StandBy mode, and a new Journal app on September 18th. Apple first unveiled the operating system at WWDC on June 5th, and they made the announcement during the launch event for the iPhone 15 on Tuesday.
The full-release version of iPadOS 17 will also go on sale on September 18. This update will give iPad owners additional methods to engage with widgets and customize their lock screen. Sixth-generation iPad models, fifth-generation iPad mini, third-generation iPad Air, and second-generation iPad Pro 12.9-inch devices and beyond are all compatible with iPadOS 17. The Apple website has a complete list of models that are compatible.
