Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift dating rumors are motivating ESPN’s Adam Schefter’s reporting!
Following a report linking Taylor Swift and Kelce on Tuesday, people are still speculating whether the two are dating. Schefter joked about the allegations when he appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Friday.
The Kansas City Chiefs listed the 33-year-old NFL tight end’s status as questionable after he hyperextended his knee during a team practice. The sports reporter chose to use the player’s recent romance rumors as motivation when he spoke with anchor Kevin Negandhi about the player on the Friday show.
“Well, Kevin, he was limited at practice today, but he was back on the field, running around, jumping, making plays,” Schefter said while speaking of Kelce and interjecting Swift, 33, song titles.
“Clearly, Travis Kelce, at this point in time, is trying to Shake It Off and get back out there. He knows how much he’s needed and that he’s The Man.“
“It was a little bit of a Cruel Summer for Travis Kelce with that knee injury but he can see the Daylight, Kevin,” he continued. “He looks like he’s Ready For It. And Travis [Kelce] is now tracking to play on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, despite the fact that he was just limited today.”
Though the athlete has not addressed the romance allegations, his brother, Jason Kelce, stated in a post-game interview on Thursday night that “he cannot comment” on his siblings’ romantic relationships. This came after the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings 34-28.
In a July episode of their podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs player discussed his desire to date the pop diva.
Before a stop on Swift’s Eras Tour earlier this summer, he admitted on the episode that he tried to offer her his phone number.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he said at the time.
