Pullisic and Oliver Giroud combined nicely as Inter Milan edged past Bologna to take all three points in their league game opener.
Bologna hosted the Rossoneri and they were determined to win the match or at least hold them to a draw, but their tactics failed.
Oliver Giroud put the visitors ahead in the 11th minute as Pulisic hit a deep cross into the box. Bologna’s Reijnders cleared the ball but it only went back to Pulisic who headed it across the defenders for Giroud to send it past Lukasz Skorupski.
10 minutes later, Pulisic played a one-two with Giroud before running deep and firing a thunderous shot past the host’s goalie to seal the deal for Inter Milan.
With Milan playing last after seven other games produced a winner on the opening weekend of the season, the pressure was on Stefano Pioli’s team.
While both sides enjoyed an equal battle in the middle of the park, the visitors looked like scoring every time they broke forward in the first half.
