Pro Wrestler Cash Wheeler Arrested In Orlando For Aggravated Assault

According to authorities, professional wrestler Daniel Wheeler, also known as Cash Wheeler, was detained in Orlando on Friday due to an outstanding warrant.

According to court documents, the 36-year-old All Elite Wrestling superstar has a warrant out for his arrest for an incident that happened on July 27. A third-degree felony accusation of aggravated assault with a firearm was brought against him.

There were no specifics regarding the claimed event in the court documents. State prosecutors, however, said at Wheeler’s Friday court appearance that the event looked to be related to a traffic-related altercation in which Wheeler “allegedly flashed a handgun at the alleged victim.”

He was let go from custody after posting a $2,500 bond. When questioned by reporters outside the jail, he remained silent before getting in his car and driving away.

Wheel was ordered by the judge to refrain from contacting any witnesses or the victim and to surrender any firearms he may have to the sheriff’s office.

In addition to Dax Harwood, Wheeler is a member of the AEW Tag Team Champions FTR. On August 27, Wheeler will compete at the AEW All In London event at Wembley Stadium.

Wheeler was questioned by FOX 35 if he still intended to attend that event, but he remained silent.

Regarding Wheeler’s arrest, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) provided FOX 35 News with the following statement:

“AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. He is fully cooperating with local authorities,” the statement read.
