McKinney Police Confirms 15-Year-Old Child Killed By Car Near Roach Middle School

Around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, McKinney police confirmed a death that occurred close to Roach Middle School.

According to police, a motorist struck a 15-year-old boy who was on a bicycle and trying to cross Independence Parkway and George Washington Drive. According to the police, the car pulled over and tried to help.

“Our hearts go out to everyone involved in this tragedy,” said McKinney Police Department Public Information Officer Carla Marion Reeves.

Early on Wednesday morning, Roach Middle School issued a request on Twitter for patience during first-day drop-offs, writing, “An accident has occurred nearby Roach Middle School impacting the flow of traffic to our campus.”
