Leeds Come From Behind To End Ipswitch Unbeaten Run In A 7-goal Thriller

*Leeds Come From Behind To End Ipswitch Unbeaten Run In A 7-goal Thriller*

Leeds United came from behind to get their first win of their Championship campaign and end Ipswitch unbeaten run in a 7-goal thriller.

The hosts took a seventh-minute lead through Joe Rodon’s own goal and it looked like Leeds may be living another nighmare. But three goals in nine minutes in the first half gave the visitors a glimmer of hope.

But Rutter, a £36m signing from Hoffenheim in January, turned on the edge of the box and then moved into the area before sending his finish across Hladky to equalize for Leeds.

In the 14th minute, Gnonto, after sitting out three games, stayed unmarked at the far post, sending in Sam Byram’s deep cross from the left.

Prior made it three, scoring his first goal for Leeds, after tapping in Hladky spilled Sinisterra’s shot from sixs yards out.

Just before halftime, Ipswitch reduced the deficit when Jackson took advantage of a loose ball before pulling back to Broadhead whose shot deflected into the net.

Sinisterra made it four for the visitors in the 75th minute with a finish across the keeper from a narrow angle.

Chaplin’s low strike into the bottom right-hand pulled another back for Ipswitch in the 97th minute, but it was not enough to give them any point.
