Kevin Hart Ends Up In Wheelchair After Racing Former NFL RB Stevan Ridley

It’s never a good idea to challenge a former NFL running back to a foot race, especially if you’re a 44-year-old comedian. Kevin Hart had to learn the lesson the hard way, hence he is currently in a wheelchair.

In a video that he shared on Instagram, Hart described his injury. After arguing with Ridley about who would win a race, he and Ridley decided to resolve their differences by competing in the 40-yard sprint. It did not go well for the well-known comic, as you might guess.

Hart described his injuries in excruciating detail and tore many muscles in his abdomen. The encounter, he added, was a sharp reminder that he is no longer a young man.

“We get out there, we go run the 40-yard dash,” Hart said. “40-yard dash. Guys, I blew all my s–t. Tore my lower abdomen, my abductors. I don’t even know what that is, but I tore them. I tore those too. I can’t walk. Sit my ass down. This is 44.”

Stars like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Will Smith left comments on Hart’s video, which attracted a lot of attention from the celebrity community.

Hart’s chances of winning the race would be slim even if he hadn’t been harmed. Ridley played in the NFL for eight seasons after having a standout LSU career, including four with the New England Patriots. Ridley amassed 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground in 2012.

Hart probably won’t make that mistake again because he’s not the kind of person you want to challenge to a race.
