French Daredevil, Remi Lucidi Died After Falling From Skyscraper

Remi Lucidi, a French daredevil, reportedly perished after leaping over a residential skyscraper in Hong Kong.

According to the South China Morning Post, he was last observed on Thursday pounding on the window of a penthouse on the 68th level of the 721ft (219m) Tregunter Tower.

After observing the 30-year-old outside the window where Mr. Lucidi was allegedly trying to get assistance before falling, a building maid reportedly phoned the police.

According to police, the daredevil, known online as Remi Enigma, had already fallen when they arrived.

According to reports, Mr. Lucidi’s sports camera, which held recordings of extreme activities, and his French ID card were discovered at the scene.

Police did not identify the 30-year-old man whose body was discovered on a patio in the city’s Mid-Levels neighborhood.

“A preliminary investigation suggested the man was an extreme sports enthusiast,” a source told the news site.

“It is possible that he got trapped outside the penthouse while practising an extreme sport in the building, and he knocked on the window for help, but accidentally fell to his death.”

Around 6 p.m. on Thursday, Mr. Lucidi reportedly entered the Tregunter Tower in Hong Kong’s posh Mid-Levels neighborhood and told a security guard he was meeting a buddy on the 40th level.

According to reports, he was seen on surveillance footage exiting the 49th-floor lift and again on the stairway leading to the top level, where a door had apparently been pushed open.

He was last saw by a maid at around 7.30 p.m. while pounding on a penthouse window, according to the South China Morning Post.

On July 24, Mr. Lucidi made his last Instagram post, which was a picturesque image taken from a tower in Times Square in Hong Kong.

According to sources, he is alleged to have entered a hostel in Hong Kong on July 17.

Gurjit Kaur, the owner of the hostel, told the Post that Lucidi was a “friendly and humble guy” when they chatted, but that he kept to himself.

“He was healthy and fit and happy faced,” she said on Saturday. “I feel very sad.”

Mr. Lucidi has previously uploaded pictures of himself at the top of large buildings in places including Paris, Dubai, and Thailand.

Fellow urban explorers paid tribute to Mr Lucidi in posts on his Instagram, with one writing: “Rip brother. Sad news no one ever wants to hear about a fellow explorer.”

Another person posted: “Bro went out doing what he loved! He lived his life fully. Not many can say that.”
