Elliot Page, the Umbrella Academy actor shared a picture of his bare chest to tell his fans how much gender-affirming care has made him feel about his life and body.
The 36-year-old X-Men star, who goes by he/they pronouns, shared a photo of himself topless while talking about the struggles he overcame living in his body.
Elliot Page who came out publicly in 2020 as a transgender, said he will share more of his story and how he went from someone who didn’t recognize himself when he looked in the mirror to the person he is today.
“I am so grateful for what gender-affirming care has allowed me and I look forward to sharing more of my journey soon,” he said.
He has a memoir titled Pageboy which will be released on June 6. His book will reveal details about his journey as a transgender person and his struggles.
According to his publisher Flatiron Books, Page’s memoir will reveal details about his ‘relationship with his body, his experiences as one of the most famous trans people in the world, mental health, assault, love, relationships, sex, and the cesspool that Hollywood can be’.
During a TV talk show with Seth Meyers in June last year, Page said he felt an ‘extraordinary…degree of joy’ after coming out as a trans.
“I feel a way that I really never thought possible for a long, long time. So that’s really what I’m focussing on and embracing the most. But, of course, moments can be overwhelming.”
“Because a lot of the time my life was just trying to move forward, so I’m getting to embrace the experience as much as I get to now. I think it’s made me better in so many facets. As a person, as a friend”
