Inter Vs AC Milan Lautaro Martinez Score Lone Goal Javier Zanetti Hints Real Madrid Likely To Win Champions League Cup

Inter Milan won AC Milan 1-0 in the second leg of their semi-final to advance to the Champions League final by a 3-0 aggregate score.

Lautaro Martinez scored the lone goal in the match in the 74th minute, with substitute Romelu Lukaku who came in the second half, giving the assist.

“The players gave their all in both legs. Inter deserved to win and we congratulate them,” AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli, said after the match.

“Reaching the semi-final was a great achievement and unexpected, but naturally if you lose against Inter then it will make this seem more painful than it otherwise would’ve been,” Paolo Maldini, AC Milan technical director said.

“We must remember this journey was totally unexpected. This game was better, but compromised by the bad performance in the first leg.”

“Perhaps the way Inter play causes us problems, but in recent weeks we have been struggling against teams that are frankly less prestigious and strong.”

“You are never satisfied at Milan, that is not allowed,” he added.

For Inter Milan, it was a historic night, as they qualify for the Champions League final.

AC Milan seemed to have control of the match in the early time, with Theo Hernandez, Brahim Díaz, and Rafael Leão trying their best to score. However, Inter soon took control of the game and dominated it.

Inter Milan’s Vice-President, Javier Zanetti, congratulated his team while looking forward to the upcoming Champions League Final match, however, he hinted that Real Madrid will most likely win the cup.

“It is a great emotion, the group deserved to play in a Champions League final after 13 years.”

“We are waiting to know the name of our opponents, but what this group has done is very important, in any case.”

“I would like to avoid Real Madrid because the competition seems made for them.”

“But the most important thing is to get there; it was a difficult path.”
