Arsenal‘s hopes of winning the Premier League title were crushed after they were beaten 3-0 by Brighton on Sunday.
Brighton came to Emirates Stadium and dominated the Gunners, winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Julio Enciso, Deniz Undav, and Pervis Estupinan.
Roberto De Zerbi’s strategy for the match paid off as Brighton’s pressing threw Arsenal off-course into vulnerable positions.
Despite Brighton’s possession, Arsenal got a few chances notably was Leandro Trossard’s shot which hit the crossbar.
Manchester City also defeated Everton the same day – and might win a fifth title in six seasons if Arsenal loses to Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Any other result in that fixture will give City the chance to seal the trophy against Chelsea next Sunday, May 21.

Julio Enciso scored the first goal just before halftime when he nodded in Pervis Estupinan’s cross from just yards out after Jakub Kiwior went down when Evan Ferguson trod on his boot, which came off.
Undav then capitalized on Trossard’s mistake with a delicate chip over Ramsdale that prompted De Zerbi to charge toward the corner flag in celebration.
The Brighton boss then produced a knee slide along his technical area as Estupinan crowned a remarkable win that moves his side up to sixth and within touching distance of Europe.
