Video of Rihanna performing at Super Bowl LVII halftime show, rubs tommy to reveal baby bump; another kid expected for daddy A$AP Rocky. How much she’s paid?
Rihanna hit the halftime show stage for Super Bowl 57 in a crimson red ensemble, which featured a stylish jacket and bralette. However, fans were more intrigued by her baby bump, which was later confirmed; Rihanna is pregnant with her second baby and the father is no other than A$AP Rocky.
Rihanna’s representative confirmed the pregnancy shortly after she ended her 13-minute performance on Sunday.
At Super Bowl LVII, five years since her last live performance at the 2018 Grammys, and seven years since her last album (2016’s Anti), Rihanna, in a custom-made design by LOEWE, proved that she still has what it takes to drive spectacle.
Standing on a suspended platform that ascended and descended, the singer performed hit songs such as “Bitch better have my money”, “Where Have You Been”, “Only Girl” and “We Found Love.”
Moment Rihanna Rubbed Her Tommy To Reveal Baby Bump & Pregnancy No.2 – Video
What could be better than relating your future kids to diamonds, and that is what Rihanna did, rubbing her baby bump while singing her hit song “Diamonds”.
Rihanna welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with rapper A$AP Rocky last May, after the couple announced they were expecting in January 2022 with photos of the baby bump.
In an interview with Vogue magazine’s May, Rihanna revealed that she had not initially planned to have a baby with A$AP Rocky, but was not opposed to the idea.
“It was just there on the test. I didn’t waste any time. I called him inside and showed him. Then I was in the doctor’s office the next morning and our journey began.”
Talking about family life, Rihanna revealed that she wants to have three to four children within the next ten years, whether she is married or not, or there is a significant other.
“I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong…’ They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives,” she said. “But the only thing that matters is happiness, that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.”
How Much Did NFL Pay Rihanna For Her Performance At The Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show
Well, the NFL does not pay any artist for performing in their events, so singer Rihanna will not be getting anything for the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
“We do not pay the artists. We cover expenses and production costs,” an NFL spokesman said.
Why NFL Don’t Pay and Will Not Pay Rihanna For Performing In Their Show
The reason for this is not far-fetched, artists performing in the NFL events is like they paying for an advertisement itself, since the NFL is an enormous platform.
According to Spotify, J.Lo’s streams spiked by 335 percent after the 2020 Super Bowl, while Shakira’s went up by 230 percent. And according to Billboard, the specific songs these two performed sold 16,000 digital downloads that day (up from around 1,000 the day before). The outlet also reported that Lady Gaga’s album and song sales increased 1,000 percent after she performed in 2017.
Who Pays for the Halftime Show?
The NFL and Apple Music will cover the bill for production costs (which can end up being millions). Though sometimes an artist’s vision is so big that they exceed the spending limit, which was the case for The Weeknd. He spent $7 million from his pocket just to bring his Halftime Show to life in the exact way he wanted it
Another source revealed that Dr. Dre also spent $7 million on last year’s show. But it was worth it because he got a 183 percent increase in album sales and a 105 percent bump in streaming.
