Microsoft’s search engine, Bing, took an unprecedented stride over Google after being the first to infuse ChatGPT AI features in its search function.
With Microsoft’s announcement of an updated version of Bing designed to combine the fun and convenience of OpenAI’s viral ChatGPT tool with the information from a search engine, it can take many users away from Google and change the dominance it enjoys.
With the new Bing Chat-GPT search feature, you can not only ask questions, but can tell the artificial intelligence what to do, and it will write it down for you; such as creating emails, stories, answers, and other types of content writing.
The new Bing can create written summaries of the search results, chats with users to answer additional questions about their query, and can write emails or other compositions based on the results.
Amongst other functions, Bing users can now create trip guides, compile weekly meal plans and ask the chatbot questions when shopping.
Artificial intelligence now assists users to make decisions as they go about their daily activities.
Microsoft (MSFT) also released an updated version of its Edge web browser with the new Bing capabilities built in.
Google Responds To Microsoft Edge ChatGPT Search Feature With “Bard”
Google on Monday unveiled its own version of ChatGPT called “Bard”, in an apparent bid to keep pace with Microsoft and the success of ChatGPT itself.
However, Google’s launch of “Bard” took a bad turn after the AI answered a question wrongly, sending the company’s stock to crash by 9% and wiping out about $1 billion in one day.
