Triangle of Sadness, Director Ruben Ostlund Nominated For Oscar Awards

“Triangle of Sadness” movie has been nominated for best picture and original screenplay and its director Ruben Ostlund has been nominated for best director at the upcoming Oscars Academy Awards set to hold on March 12.

Director Ruben Ostlund’s satirical film “Triangle of Sadness”, which was co-produced by the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), has landed three Oscar nominations, including best picture.

The nominations were announced by Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams from the academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California.

“Triangle of Sadness” also dominated the European Film Awards (EFA). It won awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Male Performance for actor Zlatko Buri.

“Triangle of Sadness” will contest to win the Academy Awards’ best picture with the following nominees; “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “The Banshees of Inisherin,” “The Fabelmans,” “Tár,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Avatar: The Way of Water,” “Elvis,” “All Quiet on the Western Front,” and “Women Talking”.

‘Triangle Of Sadness ’ Dominates Sweden’s Guldbagge Awards

Ruben Östlund’s Triangle of Sadness  also won many categories in the Sweden’s Guldbagge Awards including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Dolly de Leon. Other wins included Tarik Saleh who picked up Best Screenwriter for Boy from Heaven.

The film is Sweden’s pick for the international Oscar and was shortlisted late last year. Adam Berg’s Netflix pic Black Crab won three craft awards, including cinematography.
