Davido is one of the few Nigerian celebrities, who has dealt with consecutive losses of family and loved ones over the years.
Recently, Davido lost his only son Ifeanyi who drowned in a pool while himself and his girlfriend, Chioma were on a family function in Ibadan.
Ifeanyi was left with the singer’s nanny and some of his aides and none of them could explain how Ifeanyi wandered to where he could drown.
Before his son’s demise, Davido has lost some of his close friends and dear acquaintances over the last few years.
Tagbo
Tagbo Umeike popularly known as Tagbo was one of Davido’s special friends who followed him everywhere. According to reports, Tagbo died from excessive alcohol consumption and allegedly consumed 40 shots of Tequila.
There were rumors and many stories surrounding his death and fans kept clamoring for answers. The story is still not clear. Tagbo died five years ago, on his birthday on October 3, 2017.
The Police State Criminal Investigation Department later revealed that Tagbo had been rushed to the hospital unconscious as a result of heavy drinking, by Davido’s order.
Obama DMW
Habeeb Uthman aka Obama DMW, was Davido’s business associate and one of his closest friends who allegedly died in a hospital.
DMW died in June last year, after complaint of severe breathing difficulty, before he was rushed to the hospital where he died.
DJ Olu
Olugbenga Abiodun, alias DJ Olu was one of Davido’s closest friend who was weirdly found dead in BMW parked in a garage along with another associate, Chime Amaechi.
In a statement, the Ikoyi Police said that they were found dead in the car, bleeding from their noses and mouths, adding that substances suspected to be drugs from the victims were recovered from their bodies.
Ifeanyi Adeleke
Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke’s death was the most painful one for the singer. The 3-year-old died just 11 days after he celebrated his birthday.
According to reports, he wandered around the house and drowned in the swimming pool while the singer and his girlfriend were away for a family function in Ibadan.
