Powerball Jackpot may rise to a whopping $1 billion on Monday.

The stakes of the Powerball jackpot keep rising, as players keep losing their games with no guarantee of winning if they try again.

On Saturday night, players were to match the six given correct numbers to win a grand prize of $826 million, but nobody could match the numbers.

In a statement after the last draw, Powerball announced that the next draw which is on Monday would be for a whopping $1 billion.

On Saturday, there were five white balls and one winning red power ball. The numbers on the white balls were 19, 31, 40, 46, and 57 and the red power ball was 23.

This is the second-biggest Powerball jackpot in United States history, as the first one was in 2016 when their players won a massive sum of $1.586 billion.

According to Powerball, they only increased the prize money from $800 million to $826 million because they sold a lot of grand tickets.

The players would draw for a billion dollars as the sales keep coming.

Players who missed out on the latest grand prize in the 30-year-old lottery shouldn’t immediately toss away their receipts.

If a player wins and decides to collect his prize in cash, the estimated money is $497 million and nothing else. The $1 billion is for those that want to receive their winnings through an annuity paid over 29 years.

It has been nearly three months since anyone hit all six numbers and took the lottery’s top prize, with a $206.9 million jackpot win in Pennsylvania on Aug. 3.

A Florida ticket holder matched all five white balls in Saturday’s drawing and increased the prize to $2 million by including the game’s “Power Play” feature.

according to Powerball, More than 3.8 million tickets won cash prizes totaling above $38 million.
