AC Milan defender Pierre Kalulu has added his name to the increasing list of people who are criticizing referee Daniel Siebert following his appalling performance in tonight’s defeat to Chelsea.
Milan lost to Chelsea again, this time losing 2-0 at San Siro in the Champions League. However, it was a contentious game, with a puzzling call in the 18th minute having a significant impact on the outcome.
Fikayo Tomori was sent off and given a penalty by German referee Siebert after he determined the defender had dragged back Mason Mount, even though every review revealed the ruling was incorrect because Mount got his shot off and did not even appeal.
After the game, a visibly agitated Kalulu spoke with Mediaset Infinity+ to reflect on what had transpired with the event during the first 20 minutes. MilanNews recounted his comments.
“The incident is… I take it badly, the attacker finishes his action. The foul is very soft. At this level it is not a foul. We wanted to play another match compared to London, but… Now we have two other important and decisive games to go through. We will give everything to go through.”
