After the time change on Sunday morning at 2:00am, winter time has officially started.
When the clocks advance one hour on March 26th of next year, summer time 2023 will officially begin.
But not everyone approves of the practice.
Sean Kelly, a Fine Gael MEP for Ireland South, stated that he will continue to campaign against the one-hour time change because it is incongruous with the current energy crisis.
“We haven’t thrown in the towel on it yet, I’m going to revise the movement to get it done at European level, especially in this time of energy crisis we need to look at everything that can save us costs which are enormous for citizens right across the European Union.”
