According to reports, Chelsea is “trying its luck” to recruit Noah Raveyre from AC Milan. Ahead of their Champions League match at the San Siro on Tuesday night, the Blues are giving Milan competition for the starlet’s signature.
Raveyre, a goalkeeper for Saint-Etienne of Ligue 2, is a 17-year-old member of the France under-17 team. He has only played in one senior game, a 6-0 loss to Le Havre in August, as a substitute.
With the score at 3-0 and after goalie Etienne Green’s dismissal, Raveyre entered the game for the remaining 22 minutes. In the brief time he was on the field, he allowed three goals.
But it appears that the adolescent holds enough promise for both Milan and Chelsea. Raveyre allegedly had contract negotiations with Saint-Etienne, according to the French publication Le10Sport.
Graham Potter’s first victory in Europe as Chelsea’s head coach was secured with goals from Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Reece James. After three games, both teams in Group E are tied on four points.
Chelsea has attempted three times to defeat Milan at the San Siro without success. Potter anticipates a different game from the one played in west London on Wednesday.
