In Wauconda, someone will awaken with a million good reasons to smile.
According to the Illinois Lottery, a convenience store in downtown Wauconda recently sold a winning Lotto ticket worth $1 million, making the buyer the 11th person to win a jackpot of $1 million or more since January.
The winning Lotto Million 2 ticket was purchased at Minute Man, situated at 205 N. Main St., and it contained all six correct Lotto Million 2 numbers. These were the numbers 2-6-16-21-44-48.
The convenience store manager thinks a local customer purchased the winning ticket.
The Wauconda store has now sold a winning lottery ticket two times.
The convenience store sold a local consumer a winning lottery ticket worth $6.25 million in 2019.
The retailer will get a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. McCloskey responded, “not sure what right now, but we aim to spend a portion of the money to do something special for our committed staff, and then the rest will be invested back into the firm,” when asked what he intended to do with the bonus.
One year has passed since the winning draw date for the lucky Lotto winner to claim their prize.
Only Illinois plays lotto, which is played on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday every week.
The prize for the game on Saturday is currently $2.75 million.
