In an effort to raise awareness of suicide prevention, “Live On” banners were used to welcome the Aggie and Cougar teams onto the field.
During a brief week of preparation, the longstanding adversaries found the opportunity to collaborate with Live On to promote suicide prevention.
Aiming to change attitudes and social standards to lessen suffering and save lives, the Live On campaign is a public-private effort to promote mental health and prevent suicide. The population-focused, evidence-based endeavor brings together a range of partners to create, release, and assess strong and efficient content to:
- Make suicide prevention and mental health a top priority for all Utahns.
- Encourage protective actions and beliefs – raise awareness and acceptance of help-seeking, secure storage of firearms, and stigma reduction
- Offer Hope and Promote Social Connection – Encourage supportive relationships and highlight voices of recovery and resiliency, particularly from those who have firsthand knowledge of loss and recovery.
