Sanna Marin, the prime minister of Finland, made history in 2019 by becoming the nation’s youngest prime minister ever. Her ability to break out some major dance skills has now gotten both praise and criticism.
The 36-year-old Marin was seen dancing with friends in leaked recordings that were shared on social media earlier this week and looked to be from a private party.
According to Finnish media, people can be heard shouting about cocaine in the films that were uploaded to Instagram stories, the Associated Press reported.
Because they believe Marin’s behaviors are unacceptable for a prime minister, opposition party members have demanded that she submit to a drug test and make the results public.
Marin claimed not to have gotten high or used drugs during the party during a press conference held on Thursday.
Attacks on Sanna Marin
Aleksi Valavuori, a Finnish television host, attacked Marin’s behavior in the video, saying that they showed the leader’s incapacity.
In defense of Finland’s Prime Minister
Many people on social media are also defending Marin’s right to party, claiming that criticism of her behavior is unjustified and sexist.
