Sylvester Stallone’s wife, Jennifer Flavin, reportedly filed for divorce on Wednesday as a result of their arguments over a new Rottweiler called Dwight. Stallone wanted the dog for “protection,” while Flavin refused to get another pet. This argument is said to have resulted in a “extremely heated argument that brought up other issues.”
However, Stallone disputes the accusations made against the dogs. Stallone attributed the couple’s unexpected breakup on them simply “moving in different paths.”
Exclusively revealed by Page Six, Flavin’s application for divorce last week “blindsided” Stallone. He was “shocked” to hear the news while filming the Paramount+ series “Tulsa King” in Oklahoma City.
The couple started dating in 1988, when Flavin was a 19-year-old model and Stallone was 42 and twice divorced. The couple, who had an on-again, off-again relationship, married in 1997 and have three kids together: Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet.
Stallone reportedly owned a Miami mansion close to Coconut Grove and has long-standing familial links to South Florida. His late father, Frank Stallone Sr., was well known in the village’s polo scene and owned a home there.
Sylvester Stallone received nominated for the 1977 Academy Awards for best actor and best screenwriter for “Rocky” thanks to his work as a performer and script.
Stallone returned to the role of Rocky Balboa in the 2015 film “Creed,” which led to his being nominated for both a Golden Globe and an Oscar for best supporting actor.
