Details about the encounter between police officers and Rufai Oseni, the anchor of Arise TV, who was stopped on the BRT route on Monday in Lagos, have come to light.
In a widely shared video, Oseni was seen yelling at the officers who had pulled him over for using the BRT lane that was off-limits.
When Oseni’s SUV was handed to him, a police officer and another guy were attempting to calm him down so that he would return to it.
He came back again to assault the policemen inside their vehicle.
Oseni was heard, saying “I will call the governor, I will call the governor, nonsense.”
