The main event of UFC London took place tonight (Saturday, July 23, 2022) at The 02 Arena in London, England, and featured UFC Heavyweight contenders Curtis Blaydes and Tom Aspinall.
Blaydes’ reputation as the overlooked Heavyweight contender is beginning to wane as a result of a significant knockout victory in his most recent contest.
Even if the top of the division is now a little hazy, this is a high-profile battle with huge title implications for either fighter.
Unfortunately, Tom Aspinall’s unexpected knee injury terminated the match before it even got started.
The bout began with a few powerful right punches from Blaydes. Blaydes is moves smoothly despite Aspinall’s intense pressure. Aspinall suddenly fell down clutching his knee. He appeared to have injured himself after delivering a low kick. Unfortunately, his fall marked the end of the fight.
