In observance of the Juneteenth holiday, the City of Sarasota will close its administrative offices on Monday, June 20.
The holiday will have no impact on residential garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection, as well as business rubbish collection.
The city is also a co-sponsor of the Newtown Juneteenth Celebration 2022, which will take place on Saturday, June 18 from 1 to 8 p.m. Food trucks, vendors, a DJ, live music, and family-friendly activities will be available along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way between Osprey Avenue and Dixie Avenue.
