Miscellaneous

Leslie Louise Bibb grew up in Nelson County, Virginia. She was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, on November 17, 1973.

Leslie later relocated to Richmond with her mother and three older sisters, where she attended St. Gertrude, an all-girls Catholic high school.

Leslie’s mother took images of her then-16-year-old daughter and sent them in to The Oprah Winfrey Show (1986) and the Elite Agency for a countrywide modelling search in 1990.

Leslie wasn’t impressed with the images, but the judges were: John Casablancas, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and Iman, who chose her as the winner.

Leslie flew to New York City after finishing her junior year and signed a deal with Elite. During the summer, she worked as a model and travelled to Japan.

She returned home for her senior year and graduated in 1992, after which she chose to attend the University of Virginia rather than pursue a full-time modelling career.

Leslie Bibb dropped out after one semester and relocated to New York City. She spent three years at the William Esper acting class before taking a nine-month break to continue modelling in Europe.

Her images have been published in magazines such as Maxim and FHM.

Leslie’s first film appearance was in the comedy Private Parts (1997), followed by her first television series in the second season of The Big Easy (1996) on USA (where she replaced Susan Walters as the female lead). Sadly, only a few months later, the show was discontinued.

Popular, a WB Network television series, had her as the primary character in 1999. The show was a hit with youngsters, and Leslie went on to star in other well-known films like The Skulls (2000) and See Spot Run (2002).

Leslie Bibb played the lead character in the television series Line of Fire and had a recurrent role on the show ER.

Leslie Bibb was cast as Detective Lu Simmons on Crossing Jordan until Season 6.

She played Desiree in Wristcutters: A Love Story(2006). The plot features two characters who committed suicide. They met and fell in love in purgatory.

The film received the Grand Jury Prize, two Independent Spirit Awards, and the Humanitas Prize nominations at the Sundance Film Festival.

In the comedic feature film Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, she plays Carley, the wife of Will Ferrell’s character.

She returned to her role as Everhart in the sequel to Iron Man, Iron Man 2, in 2010. With a worldwide revenue of $621.8 million, the picture is Bibb’s largest box-office success.

Later that year, she acted in and co-produced the independent comedy Miss Nobody. She received the Best Actress Award at the 26th Boston Film Festival for her performance.

Variety critic Alissa Simon lauded her “Statuesque star Bibb, as she showed in Goran Dukic’s Wristcutters: A Love Story, is a clever actor eager to give herself completely to a part.”

“She pratfalls, groans endlessly, and dresses in unsuitable clothes as the wonderfully goofy murderess.”

Kevin James’ The Zookeeper, which was released in 2011, included Bibb as well.

Leslie Bibb featured as Amanda Vaughn on the ABC sitcom GCB, which premiered on March 4, 2012, and was cancelled after ten episodes.

In June 2013, Bibb made her Broadway debut in Neil LaBute’s play Reasons to be Happy, which premiered at MCC Theatre in New York.

Rhett & Link’s Buddy System, a YouTube Red original series, stars Bibb in its first season in 2016. She also appears in a 2017 episode of the show’s second season.

In 2016, she debuted as the divorced next-door neighbour Viv on ABC’s American Housewife. Bibb appeared in The Babysitter, a Netflix comedy-horror thriller, in 2017.

In the sequel, The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020), she reprised her role. She was also cast in the comedy picture Tag, in 2017, as Susan Rollins. Bibb was cast in the Netflix superhero series Jupiter’s Legacy as Grace Sampson in February 2019.
