The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has called on the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to end its ongoing strike.
This is coming after it was reported that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) extended its strike by 12 weeks over the government’s inability to meet its demand.
During a speech at the 19th National Productivity Day Celebration at the statehouse conference center in Abuja the president stated that he has authorized Ibrahim Gambari, his chief of staff; Adamu Adamu, minister of education; and Chris Ngige, minister of labor and employment to agree with the educational body.
