FIFA Sanction Nigeria Over Wreck On MKO Abiola Stadium Following Loss To Ghana


Reports have it that FIFA has imposed a fine of 64 million naira on the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) over the wreck of MKO Abiola stadium following the eagle’s Loss To Ghana.

This is coming after a video that captures the moment angry Nigerians vandalizing properties in the Abuja stadium where the Super Eagles played a draw match with the black stars of Ghana which also led to the death of a CAF officer went around on the internet.

FIFA accused Nigeria of “implementing existing safety rules and failure to ensure that law and order are maintained in the stadium, invasion of the field of play and throwing of objects.”

Apart from the monetary fine, the world football governing body also stated that Nigeria will also play its next home match without fans.
