Chelsea Want To Win The Fa Cup & Don’t Care Who Scores Against Liverpool: Timo Werner

Timo Werner has confessed that it doesn’t matter who scores in Chelsea’s FA Cup final against Liverpool on Saturday, as long as they win.

After struggling to score consistently during his time at Chelsea, the attacker has found form in recent weeks and added goals to his game.

Werner discusses his prospects of scoring goals in the FA Cup final with Chelsea’s 5th Stand app.

“Of course, scoring goals in a final is always nice, and scoring goals against Liverpool in an FA Cup Final would be great,” Werner said unselfishly when asked if he prioritizes getting on the scoresheet against Liverpool. “But, in the end, we want to win and it doesn’t matter who scores.”

The German went on to say how important the FA Cup is to him and how he is looking forward to the sell-out event once more.

“The FA Cup final is usually a fun game, and with the stadium at Wembley packed and the two teams, Chelsea and Liverpool, playing, the atmosphere will be fantastic,” he added.

Chelsea has reached three consecutive finals after losing the previous two, and they are determined to change their fortunes.

“I think against Leicester it was also a very nice game, a lot of joy to play, but we were unlucky not to win it,” Werner said.

“I believe there will be a lot more atmosphere this time.” This happened in the Carabao Cup final and the FA Cup semi-final, respectively. We want to win this this cup and the Chelsea fans will support us very good.”
